Shared view

The shared view

What a brand sees of shoppers who chose to share, counted together so nobody can be picked out.

The shared view is the brand side of Pointless. It is the same console a brand uses: overview numbers, other brands in the basket, categories, channels, and who reorders. It is built only from what shoppers left visible.

What it shows

  • Headline counts: orders, items, brands, and estimated spend across connected shoppers.
  • Who else those shoppers buy from, and which categories show up in their baskets.
  • Where they buy: store or marketplace, and where they found a brand first.
  • Who comes back, who is due to reorder, and who switched to someone else.

You never see a shopper's name, email, address, or order list. Products and counts only.

The three-shopper rule

Every number is a count across shoppers who chose to share. Groups smaller than three shoppers are left out, everywhere: the console, findings, and any coding agent or command-line read. That is so nobody can be picked out of a small group.

If a row or finding says it is waiting, it is waiting for a third shopper. As more people connect, those gaps fill in on their own.

Info

Shoppers can hide any brand, order, item, or category at any time. Sensitive categories start hidden. When they hide something, it leaves these counts too.
